We’ve just re-designed a website for Jess of Pomp and Ceremonies fame. Read on to find out what she does!
If you’re getting hitched anytime soon, you need one of these! A Wedding celebrant in Devon (infact anywhere!) and if you don’t know what they do then read all about it – News to us too but we have learned that you can get married for as little as £50.00! However, it’s a very impersonal and should we say forgetful way of tieing the knot. If you’re going to do it, do it in style – Independent Ceremony wedding celebrants allow you to have full flexibility and to have the ceremony that you want giving you total control of how the day pans out – sound good?! Why not give Jessica a call – look her up on Pomp and Ceremonies!
And….we’ve just noticed that this is quite a timely post being Valentines Day, so get down on bended knee and do the honours with your very own wedding celebrant Pomp and Ceremony!
04 March 2019 – addition
What does a wedding celebrant offer?
As an addition to this news, we’ve also created a video for Jess who explains what a wedding celebrant does and also what she includes in her services – see for yourself….
As if that’s not enough, Jess has also offered up some handy tips about your wedding day and what she as a wedding celebrant can do for you – check it out!
If you were lucky enough to have had the big question popped to you recently, heres a few hints and tips to remember when you’re planning your ceremony with an independent wedding celebrant like Pomp and Ceremonies.
- Keep it simple! You may have the urge to have a Llama ring bearer or an opera singer belting out arias, but is it relevant to you as a couple? Don’t try to impress your guests by including elements which are
totally alien to your lives. Ceremonies should reflect you both and those around you..a beloved pet pooch bearing the rings or a great guitarist playing songs which mean something to you will resonate far better with your guests and therefore make for a far more relaxed atmosphere. - Secretly written promises! This is becoming a really popular element of my ceremonies and I love it! Sometime after our ceremony consultation, whilst I’m busy creating your script, you can contact me
with secretly written promises which you would like to have included in the ceremony. Keep them simple and sweet and they can be a wonderful surprise for your partner on the day itself. - Readings. If you Google “wedding readings” you’ll come up with 1000’s of texts which have been written especially for weddings….but do you want to include a reading which has been read at millions of
weddings?! My favourite readings have been the unusual…one best man read the lyrics to “you’re the one thatI want” from the musical Grease, I’ve heard some wonderful readings written by the bride and
groom themselves or a personal favourite was a poem, written by the brides grandfather..not a dry eye in the house… - Wedding nerves. Its your wedding day, and, after over a decade of ceremonies, I have met very few couples that haven’t been even a little nervous before the ceremony. Its natural! Its one of the biggest days of
your life and you’ve been planning it for months. If the nerves have really taken hold, try to remember this, once the ceremony starts nerves tend to disappear. I’m there to make sure everything runs as it should. Catching sight of each other at the start of a ceremony is one of the most special moments and nerves fly out of the window to be replaced with 2 very smiley, emotional people! I warn you..you’ll have an achey jaw from grinning at the end of the day!
